I want to help rejuvenate Ward 5 and all of Tarboro. I recognize the importance of Ward 5 to the success of Tarboro. Being primarily centered in the downtown business and historic district, Ward 5 is Key to the Success of Tarboro. With your help we can make them bigger and better.
My Goals for Ward 5 Businesses
More Council Support for current downtown businesses & Help Recruit additional businesses for the downtown area by:
- Engage/Recruit (Hands-on) Small & larger business & employers.
- Increase Tourism = Increase Revenue. Help Identify more events & activities for the downtown and historic districts.
My Goals to Increase Community & Town Pride
Happy Citizens = Happy Government! Identify/develop more citizen/town partnerships. Will seek full council support to:
- Establish Employee of the Month/Quarterly Appreciation Program
- Establish programs that highlight and Appreciate citizens and businesses.
- Utilize more media outlets to build citizen pride.
My Goal to Increase and Promote More Transparency
My goal is to create more trust and transparency between the town and its citizens by:
- Hosting monthly information sessions
- Establish a "Community Involvement & Concerns" volunteer committee
- Add a "Community Improvement and Concerns Drop Box" in the town hall
- Install/Upgrade equipment to livestream council meetings
Improve Public Safety and Awareness
I want to keep the community informed about public safety, hear their concerns, and help them share initiatives and solutions. It would look like:
- Partnering with local law enforcement and EMS to host awareness meetings
- Partnering with local medical institutions to host bi-monthly health checkup forums
- And much more!
